This is what Art sounds like
Listen. Imagine. Create.
Service Description
A calm creative studio where ideas become things. Curious Makers Studio is designed for children who love making, creating, imagining and exploring ideas through art, craft and design. Each session begins with a short piece of music. Children are invited to listen, draw, doodle, mark-make or simply sit and absorb what they hear. There is no right or wrong way to respond. After listening, children are encouraged to choose a single word inspired by the experience. It might describe a feeling, a colour, a memory, a place, a texture or an idea. Perhaps their word is: Flight Storm Secret Adventure Home Curiosity That word then becomes the starting point for the rest of the session. Using a wide range of materials including textiles, paper, card, recycled materials, natural objects, drawing supplies and found treasures, children are free to develop their own creative response. Some may choose to sew. Others may build, sketch, collage, invent, design or combine several techniques into something entirely unique. Curious Makers Studio is not a traditional craft class. There are no templates, no step-by-step instructions and no expectation that everyone produces the same finished piece. Instead, children are given the time, materials and freedom to follow their own ideas, revisit ongoing projects and discover where their creativity leads. Each session includes: • A musical inspiration prompt • Gentle reflection and creative thinking • A personal word prompt chosen by each child • Access to a wide range of creative materials • Time for sustained, self-directed making • Opportunities to develop projects over multiple weeks • A supportive Regulation-First environment The focus is not on producing a perfect craft. It is about exploring ideas, building confidence, developing creative thinking and experiencing the satisfaction of making something that is entirely your own.
