Blue Peter Badges
Service Description
At STEMPunx, we believe that children do extraordinary things every day. Sometimes they simply need help recognising those achievements and presenting them in a way that others can appreciate. What Will We Be Doing? Across our June programme, children will have opportunities to: Create original artwork and designs Complete STEM investigations and engineering challenges Explore environmental and nature-based activities Read, review and discuss books Document personal achievements and projects Develop creative ideas and inventions Build portfolios of evidence from their work Many of these activities align naturally with the qualities Blue Peter looks for in badge applicants: creativity, curiosity, effort, learning and personal achievement. We'll be sharing information about the different badge categories and helping children identify which opportunities best match their interests and achievements. What Support Will STEMPunx Provide? We will help children: Understand the different badge categories Recognise achievements worth celebrating Gather evidence from projects and activities Develop ideas for applications Build confidence in sharing their work Most importantly, we'll encourage children to take pride in what they have created, learned and achieved. Every Project Counts A model you've built, a book you've reviewed, a nature discovery you've made, a piece of artwork you're proud of, or a challenge you've overcome can all become part of your personal story. June is about celebrating curiosity, creativity and achievement—and who knows what might arrive through the post later this year?
