Our Animal Encounters sessions, delivered with Exotics of the World, offer a relaxed, engaging opportunity for children and young people to meet and learn about a range of fascinating animals in a calm, supportive setting. Each session introduces one or two animals and gives participants time to observe them up close, ask questions, and—if they wish—handle them under expert guidance. Participation is always optional and flexible. Key details Age range: 7+ Session length: 1 hour Format: Drop-off / pick-up only (due to limited space in animal areas) Suitable for: SEND learners, home-educated children, anxious learners, and those who prefer smaller, calmer groups Animal Encounters supports curiosity, confidence and a positive relationship with animals, helping learners leave the session feeling settled, engaged and eager to return.
