Service Description
Explore history through fabric, materials, and traditional techniques, creating themed textile pieces inspired by different cultures and time periods each week with plenty of time to continue, refine, or personalise work at a comfortable pace. Each week, children are introduced to a different culture, time period, or theme, using textiles as a way to connect with stories from the past. From simple stitching and pattern work to more detailed decorative pieces, the focus is on creating at a comfortable pace, with space to explore and build confidence over time. There’s no rush to finish—children can continue, refine, and personalise their work across sessions, developing both skill and pride in what they create. What to expect: A gentle, structured introduction to each week’s theme Hands-on textile work using a range of materials and techniques Time and space to revisit and develop pieces over multiple sessions A calm, supportive environment with guidance throughout This session is regulation-first and SEND-aware, designed for children who benefit from smaller groups, clear structure, and a quieter, more focused creative space.
