Thurs Full Day Craft, History & Social
10:00 – 2:30
Service Description
A full-day experience designed to support a calm, confident rhythm—blending gentle arrival, hands-on creativity, and relaxed social connection within a small, consistent group. The day begins with our Drift Room (10:00–10:30) — a soft, social start where children can arrive, regulate, chat, and ease into the space at their own pace. This time is supervised but low-demand, helping everyone feel settled and ready before moving into structured activity. The morning then flows into: Stitching History (10:30–12:00) A calm, hands-on session exploring history through fabric, materials, and traditional techniques. Each week introduces a different culture, time period, or theme, with time to create, continue, and refine textile pieces at a comfortable pace. The focus is on building skill, confidence, and connection through making—without pressure to rush or finish. Followed by: Supervised Social Lunch (12:15–12:45) A supported space to eat, chat, and reset before the afternoon session. In the afternoon, the day gently shifts into a more social, low-pressure environment: Unplug and Play (1:00–2:30) A relaxed session focused on board games, collaborative play, and screen-free activities. Children can explore games at their own pace—whether that’s learning something new, playing alongside others, or enjoying quieter, independent options. This session supports communication, turn-taking, and confidence in a natural, low-demand way, with guidance available where needed but no pressure to join in beyond what feels comfortable. What to expect across the day: A gentle, supported start with time to settle Hands-on creative work with space to develop ideas over time Opportunities for social connection in a calm, structured way Small group delivery for a focused, low-pressure environment A regulation-first approach with experienced facilitators Good to know: Suitable for ages 7+ Group size limited to 8 Drop-off session, with the option for parents/carers to stay during Drift Room if a supported transition is helpful All materials provided A full day that offers the time, space, and support many children need to settle, create, and connect—moving from thoughtful, hands-on making in the morning to relaxed, confidence-building social play in the afternoon.
