Service Description

A full-day experience designed to support a calm, confident rhythm—blending gentle arrival, hands-on STEM, creative exploration, and time to connect within a small, consistent group. The day begins with our Drift Room (30 minutes) — a soft, social start where children can arrive, regulate, chat, and ease into the space at their own pace. This time is supervised but low-demand, helping everyone feel settled and ready before moving into structured activities. The morning then flows through: STEM Engineering Quick Builds (45 minutes) – practical challenges exploring core engineering concepts Doodle, Colour, Draw (30 minutes) – relaxed, no-pressure creative time with optional prompts Supervised Social Lunch (30 minutes) – a supported space to eat, connect, and wind down After lunch, the day shifts into our new: Blue Peter Badge Club (1:00–2:30) Throughout June and July, children will have opportunities to work towards a range of Blue Peter Badge applications through the projects, activities and achievements they complete at STEMPunx. Each session provides a calm, supportive space where children can pursue their own interests while building evidence for badge applications. Some may choose to create artwork, write book reviews, explore environmental projects, develop community ideas, document STEM investigations or work on personal challenges and achievements. Rather than following a single project, children are encouraged to identify their own interests and passions, with support available to help them turn those interests into meaningful badge application material. The session is structured but flexible, allowing children to work independently, collaborate with others, and develop confidence in sharing their ideas and achievements. What to expect across the day: • A gentle, supported start with time to settle • A balance of STEM, creativity, and social connection • Small group delivery for a calm, focused environment • A regulation-first approach with experienced facilitators • Clear structure with flexibility to meet individual needs Good to know: Suitable for ages 7+ Group size limited to 8 Drop-off session, with the option for parents/carers to stay during Drift Room if a supported transition is helpful. All materials and equipment provided. A full day that offers the time, space and support many children need to settle, engage deeply and build confidence—moving from hands-on STEM exploration in the morning to celebrating creativity, achievement and persona
