Unplug and Play
Switch off screens. Switch on connection
Service Description
Unplug and Play is a calm, screen-free session designed to help children slow down, connect, and ease into the end of the week. Taking place on Thursday afternoons, this small-group session offers a welcoming space to explore board games, collaborative play, and communication skills—without the pressure of competition or performance. Whether working together, taking turns, or simply enjoying shared play, children are supported to engage at their own pace. With a regulation-first approach, the session prioritises comfort, choice, and emotional safety. Familiar games sit alongside new ones, with gentle facilitation to support social interaction, confidence, and connection. This is not about winning—it’s about feeling settled, included, and ready to wind down for the weekend. Time: 13:00 – 15:00, Thursday afternoons Start Date: Week commencing 20th April Ages: 8+ Group Size: Maximum 10 participants Approach: Regulation-first, SEND-aware, small-group environment This session can be booked as part of a 4-week block, supporting consistency, routine, and a more settled group experience. Morning blocks offer a slower start and more time to settle into the session, with space to create, connect, and wind down. Afternoon blocks provide a flexible option with focused session time and supported social/lunch transitions.
